Daughters of the British Empire in Washington, Inc. was founded in 1911. We have 17 chapters with a
total membership in excess of 300. Most chapters are in the Seattle metropolitan area, but several are in Northwestern and Southwestern Washington and one in the Tri-Cities area.
The State Board, made up of representatives from each chapter, meet once a month to share news and organize statewide events including the Annual Meeting (in March) Founder's Day (in April) and the
Annual All State Bazaar (in October).
